Josiah Gorgas letter book, 1847 May-Dec.

Mexican War record of letters received and copies of letters sent by Lieutenant Josiah Gorgas, U.S. Army, who was in charge of the ordnance depot in Veracruz, Mexico. The letters relate to business at the depot immediately following the surrender of Veracruz. Entries include copies of letters forwarded to Captain R.H.K. Whiteley, commander of the Baton Rouge Arsenal.
